Revived!

I found my old blog! So nostalgic.

I believe I have started many blogs before but I was never able to keep up and I have forgotten about them. We were all once young, so reading back on my posts 7-8 years ago seriously brings back alot of memories. And on top of that, I am glad that I still believe in alot of the things I wrote when I was a young kid. 

Fast forward from my last post in 2011, many things happened. 

Graduated from Secondary school of course, graduated from Poly, started my first real full time job, BTO-ed, am currently in my last semester in Uni and in my second job. 

There were several huge events recently that I am just not able to keep up with.

First, my best friend just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl

Second, my sister also gave birth to a super adorable baby boy

Third, I'm engaged! 

The third point is what motivated me to start blogging again to be honest. Wedding planning is stressful but it is also a process that I would never want to forget, especially the details! 

Hopefully I will be able to keep up with the blogging.

Lee Xiao Yu is 17 years old! (like seriously, sounds like a little grown up already :x)

Have that thinking that 16years old stills sounds like a kid but granted a little more freedom, But 17 just sounds old! Like... grown up already! LOL...

Baby already has plans for his future. I need mine too, but i totally have no idea what I want. As far as i could plan, is to at least score well for my O levels this year. But as usual, I dont do my homework and dont pay attention in class. The only thing I have improved on is I no longer sleep in class although I always doze off during lessons.. It's different, when i sleep, i did it on purpose. When i doze off, i accidentally fell asleep :p

Well, gotta start thinking what I want now.. Had been considering air stewardess after poly but baby doesnt seem to support. And it's not that I wanna be an air stewardess and i will be. Many things just cannot be confirmed now. I hope future just doesnt come so fast ):

when we were at chalet @ sentosa, shocking news stricken us that Japan had a 9.8 magnitude earthquake! aftermath followed by another (dunno how many magnitude) earthquake and today, heard that this morning there was another one! 6.0 magnitude if i am not wrong! ): I am not miss universe so I dont wish for world peace. I just sincerely pray that Japan could survive this crisis asap.

Mentality

I follow strictly to my principles.
I treat people the way they treat me.
I respect people when people respect me.

I dont give a fuck to people who expects people to always give in to them when they're in a bad mood, or only looks for you when they need you. Put yourself in other people's shoe. You wanna be treated like this? If the whole world is like this, I can possibly leave with no friends.

Yes, I agree everyone is selfish. Even I sometimes would not spare a thought for people because I put myself as priority, but there are limits in everything. If you go over the limit you'll only have people start hating you.

That's why, I only trust when I am sure I can. Not everyone fits this criteria. Or should I say, everyone but YOU.

One day, you'll find no one there with you when you need someone. Continue treating people like this and I dont really care what retribution I'll get, but I swear you'll die lonely. Suck on that.

Saving up!

I've decided to start saving money starting from April in order the be able to save enough money for Invisalign when I'm 20years old. YES! i can only save about $2k every year solely depending on the allowance my Mama give me. And I really got to scrimp and save alot!

Had actually wanted to get braces when I graduate this year but after hearing about Invisalign from famous blogger, Xiaxue, I thought that it, of course, is a better alternative. Faster treatment period and it's transparent. No ugly metal wires :X

But of course, taking the express way, you have to pay the price, literally. Normal Braces cost about $3k - $4k while Invisalign cost twice of it, $6k - $8k. Gawdddd.... my teeth are not very crooked though. Hope it doesn't cost alot :x

BUT! If I work at the end of this year, it'd be another issue cos it means that i'll have more money and may be able to get it when I'm 18! :D

&& why start saving in april?

• January - baby's birthday!! ( in a week's time )
  
• February- Chinese New Year! ; saving up for the chalet in March ( celebrating YQ's boyf's birthday )
• March - My birthday month!! Saving up for my long wanted, Longchamp bag! ( Whatever, im materialistic, i know... )

It'll be quieter after March so I can start saving. Hope i dont get adrenaline rush and go for naval and helix piercing, which im dying for it now. HAHA!

2010

Been to many blogs and saw people summarizing their 2010. I want to do that too! But the first thing that came to my mind is, how did they manage to remember so much?! The best and furthest my memory could bring me back is end of October 2010.

October'2010:
Truncated timetable, school ends at 12.45pm everyday. Preparation for Olevels. Sat for English and Elementary Mathematics papers. Did not study for it :/ Worked at Cafe Cartel for about 2weeks or lesser right after the last paper. Went job hunting and I guess that moment I would never regret walking into Armani Exchange to ask for a part-time job with my darling LooLoo!

November'2010:
Started working on the 8 Nov. Love the people there(: 10Nov sat for my Chinese Olevel paper. Parents went overseas, nobody woke me up. Paper starts at 8am and I woke up at 0745am. In the end still reach there on time ;) Attended POA course for 3days, sat for a test and forgot to bring my phone that day ): Work throughout my holidays, still loving the job.

December'2010:

1st Dec, the best part of my holiday! Got to meet the best boyfriend ever❤. Didnt realise time passes so fast but I did cherish my time working(:

January'2011:


School reopen. Stress from day 1. Olevels this year, preparation starts NOW! Olevel results out. Dropping chinese with B3. pass english with C5 and flunk emaths with D7. Attended Cousin's wedding, became her bridesmaid. Accompanied baby to ITE to register for courses today.

Im awaiting for the rest of my year to come fast so i could update this on December 2011.
I even start to wonder where will I be in 2012. Poly? ITE? or no more studying? :x who knows? (:

Currently in school's computer lab. It's lunch time and everybody's out for lunch except me and another classmate. We're both engrosed in using computer. HAHAHAH. Class ends at 5pm and I hope when I go home there'll be something to eat cos like I said, I DIDNT EAT LUNCH!

Had 2 days off from work since yesterday, I cant wait to go back to work!! Super love my colleagues as they are maddddd hilarious. Seriously, mad and hilarious. hahahah!

Already a week has gone by. It's so fast.... I guess I wanna cherish every moment at work now before I have to start coming back to school to sleep :X

Happiness.

Being happy is a major thing in my life after I came to my senses that relationship is a want, not a need in my life. Gone thru thick and thin alone and therefore, made me stronger and more independent.

Well, the key thing in life, just be yourself. This is me. If someone cannot accept me for who I am, then I guess we should go our separate ways :)

Exhilarated

Town with YQ and TL yesterday to Como House to collect uniform and accompany TL for interview at club21. Cam couldnt make it as she's going to chalet! Hope she enjoyed herself ;)

And yes! this means that YQ and I were recruited! Mad happy and excited. She's starting tomorrow at A|X Ion and Im starting next monday at A|X Paragon( which I totally have no idea where exactly it is...)

After that, shopped around Far East Plaza. Both of us found a pair of shoes we both love :D similar design but different colour. Went to Tailsman (my favourite shop!!) and had a hard time deciding if we should get THAT bag or not. In the end, decided to go Bugis to check it out today and so, we randomly just got 2pairs for geek specs. HAHAHA!

Meeting YQ later for shopping! :D Last round before she starts work.

Oh! and today is Deepavali, public holiday and Cafe Cartel's pay today is $7.50 / hr! But sadly I have no schedule. I told my manager thayt I wanted to work $.$ and he was like " wahhh, 你很现实leh... okay lor, if I need people than I call you uhh, you wait for my call."

And true enough, down staff today and CC called me about an hour ago, WAKING ME UP FROM SLEEP! decided to let it turn to miss call cos NOBODY DISTURBS FISHY FROM SLEEP! N-O-B-O-D-Y!!! Roarrrr!
It explains why im blogging now, cos they disturb me from sleep!!!! >:O $7.50/hour byebye BUT it's not my fault cos they woke me up from sleep :( assholes.

Aimless

Hi november! Bye october :)

Felt very very down since yesterday when I remembered that I have a POA course called MYOB to attend from the 15th to the 19th nov. I cant work! I've decided to quit Cafe Cartel, it's too tough for me. Chalet is after that so I cant work at all since this is the period when they need people the most. I totally gave up job hunting.

I've spend my savings thinking that I'll survive in my current job for a long time, but no. I have too much confident in myself. Now, Im totally broke. Fml.

All my girls may be working this holiday again, so well, I left to spending my December doing nothing again. Fuck POA seriously. Totally screwed my plans with such sudden notice. cheebye.

I didnt expect that I could still restore my blog after deleting it for so long. Well, not long actually. Just about a month :)

Decide to restore my blog cos I feel that this holiday will be an exciting one with all the ups and downs going on in my life, so i totally wanna have a place to write them down so I'll never forget it! and and! I'm never going to change url, or delete this blog again no matter have often i will update it. This will sort of be my diary, but more personal things of cos i'll write them in my private blog.

O levels just ended and currently school is having forward track, last week of agonizing!
But what's more agonizing is working. It's true that it's much more 幸福 to enjoy times when you are still studying. I'm currently working at Cafe Cartel and work is tough! I dont care how people judge me when they see me working there. I hate this job actually. It's tiring and I have to face a siao zha bor so often that i can go crazy. I've interviewed for another retail job already:) im leaing this job as soon as my schedule is done.

But although this could be quite tiring, but im kinda enjoying this job when I start to know more people and start to get comfortable with the environment and getting use to the tiredness, perhaps i wont leave in the end i'll juggle 2 job at a time, i dont know.

Having to let that siao zha bor bully me is my motivation for going to work becos i wont hesitate to talk back to her whatever her post is. You may be of a higher post than me but we are all humans. What comes around goes around. I treat people the way they treat me, if you are nice to me, I'll definitely be nice to you. If you want to any no how guailan me and pick on me all the time, you're unlucky cos i wont hesitate to pay u back double for what you've done. Call me ahlian whatever i dont care, Im not a goodie goodie, though I look like one.

One good thing about going to work at this age. You'll never dare to guailan your teachers cos they'll call our parents. When working when you hate someone, for my case, everyone hates her, when you guailan her you have no worries at all, cos

1. manager wont call parents -.-
2. if I lose my job, I wouldnt have any disadvantages cos it's not like I need this job, and I will still get my pay.
   

I 've came up with a least of 5 things you should / shouldnt do at restaurants. If you dont read this you will regret, I SWEAR! :

1. Bring your own utensils! / Dont use provided utensils!
   
2. Bring your own plain water / DONT FREAKING DRINK RESTAURANT PROVIDED WATER!
3. Dont take free that is free flow! eg: bread, chilli sauce, butter, plain water
   
4. Dont eat anything that is use for decorating purpose on the plate even though it is edible!
5. Dont ask for extras! eg: cheese, sauce for the food, etc...
